It is the day before Halloween and a good time to carve a couple of pumpkins.

The kids picked a few pumpkins a week or so ago and they have been resting on our front porch since then. I figured carving them today would be good so they’ll be ready to show off to trick or treaters tomorrow.

Happy HalloweenMy oldest son has become obsessed with Hamilton: The Musical and wanted to do the Hamilton logo on his pumpkin. It came out pretty good, I think.

My younger son likes the simple things in life. He chose to just do a classic smiley face Jack O Lantern. I drew the design on for him and he started carving. He also adjusted the design where he thought it needed to be adjusted. Bigger nose. Different eye shape. This one also came out pretty good.

I am pretty sure this is the first time they actually carved out the entire designs by themselves. In the past I have done the carving and they have done drawing or painting.

I do have the urge to go to the store tomorrow and pick up a dozen pumpkins and line the driveway with Jack O Lanterns.

Maybe,
