Do We Need An R Rated Batman

Next weekend is the premiere of the newest Wolverine movie, Logan.

The release of the movie is exciting for a few reasons. It is the final Wolverine movie with Hugh Jackman. It looks like it will redeem itself for the previous Wolverine movies.

The Ghostbusters Reboot – Way Better Than Expected

I am usually pretty cynical when it comes to reboots of my favorite childhood television shows and movies. It just seems like the studios get our hopes and then fall flat, especially when the nostalgia factor is high.

So when the Ghostbusters reboot was announced I had mixed emotions. I was excited for the franchise to make it back to the big screen, but I was expecting that I would once again be let down and not like the movie.

Boy was I wrong.

The Key to “A Christmas Story” is Ralphie’s Old Man

Yesterday I spent Christmas day like a lot of other people did. Watching A Christmas Story on loop for 24 hours.

I have watched this movie ever since I was a kid. I would catch it on television a half dozen times or so between Thanksgiving to Christmas and watch it no matter what part of the movie I happened to find it at. Back then I had to flip through a paper television guide to find the channels and times that it would start.

In 1997 TNT began airing the 24 hour marathon every Christmas Day, but it was only a few years ago that I realized the whole key to the story isn’t Ralphie and his quest for a Red Ryder Carbine Action 200-Shot Range Model Air Rifle.

The key to the entire story is Ralphie’s old man.

Review: Rogue One – A Star Wars Story

After seeing Rogue One – A Star Wars Story for the second time yesterday I stand by my previous statement that it is the best Star Wars movie of all time.

It has a few legitimate criticisms, and it is not a perfect movie, but it is a fantastic movie and a great sign of what might be to come from the Star Wars franchise.
